Fun Facts Friday [9/26/14]

I’ve been meaning to post my “Scenes from this Weekend” post all week long. But now it’s already Fun Facts Friday time. So basically, this post is going to be a hodge podge of everything. Because story of my life.

1) Last weekend, Beth and I drove to Monterey to babysit her two-year old nephew, Henry, for the night. He was just so stinking cute. And pretty much a genius. He kept us entertained all night long.

 

He also called me “Diva,” which inspired a name-change. You can call me that from now on.

2) Beth and I invested in a house cleaner for our apartment. Best investment ever. The guy actually pushed up our couch against the wall to vacuum underneath it. (Something I would NEVER do).

3) On our way to meet up with Beth’s family, we stopped at the deli in Pacific Grove that we went to last year when Bhaiya and Bhabhi first moved here. The same guy was working and I told him I remembered him from last year. He wasn’t as excited this time around. But the sandwiches were still as delicious as I remembered.

4) On our way back from Monterey, we stopped at my favorite stand to pick up some fruits and veggies. Beth had never been before so it was really fun to show her WHY I get so excited each time I stop. I almost bought the corn because it looked so tempting!

But then I remembered when I got corn from the box and I had nightmares (day-mares?). So I decided against that.

5) My aunt in NY sent me a package overnight filled with delicious food. Do I have the best family or what?

6) Cupcake Wine is on sale at Safeway for BUY ONE – GET ONE FOR 10 CENTS. Holy moly. I wanted to buy all the bottles.

But I settled for two. If that’s not self-control, then I don’t know what is.

 

7) It rained yesterday morning! YAY! We desperately need the rain over here in California. A little bit for the drought. But also because I really want to use my fancy wine-bottle shaped umbrella. Duh.

8) Have you ever had Siri read your text messages to you when they include emojis??

That was a good hour of entertainment last night. I’m so cool.

9) The Bruins won last night! 🙂

10) I’m going to Monterey again this weekend! It’s our final training run and we’ll be running 12 miles! I’m excited and scared all at the same time.
