21-Day Challenge: Free Facebook Support Group Online

weight loss support groups online

Three weeks ago, I joined an accountability group on Facebook.

I had quit Weight Watchers back in March because I felt like it wasn’t the right fit. In April, I started floundering. I didn’t have the motivation to work out. I reached the phase where you just want to eat anything and everything around you – even when it doesn’t actually taste good. The “I don’t give a crap. I’m going to eat my way through life” phase is what I like to call it.

I didn’t feel good. I came home feeling bloated and tired and super low-energy all the time. And then I would drink a few glasses of wine which only made the problem worse.

So, when my former co-worker reached out to me and asked me to join a free challenge group on Facebook to help me get back on track to meeting my health goals this year, I figured it was worth a shot.

The 21-Day Challenge Group

Being a part of this group didn’t require too much effort on my end. All I had to do was log-on to Facebook each night (which I already do), spend a few minutes scrolling through comments and pictures (which I already do), and share a few sentences about what was going on in my day.

We discussed our struggles, our workout/health wins for the day, and everything in between.

I’ve always been a person that relied on accountability. The kind of person who needs to TALK about how I’m feeling, what I can do to make better choices, and I thrive off the “pat-on-the-back” when I DO make a good choice.

This group was that accountability for me. They were the push I needed, the motivation I craved, and the support that got me back on track to meeting the health goals I set for myself.

We share recipe ideas and new products to try. We “woo-hoo!!!” for each other when people reach milestones and we also virtually hug each other when another person’s having a hard day.

It’s pretty fantastic. And I’m so fortunate to have stumbled upon the ladies I’ve met through the group.

The 21-Day Challenge in May

They’re starting a new group on Monday, May 8th. It opens up tomorrow (Thursday, May 4th) on Facebook so we can get to know one another and read through a few planning documents (e.g. grocery list, recipes, etc.)

If you’re looking for a private, online accountability and support group to help keep you motivated and stay on track, fill out the form below with your contact information and one of the coaches will shoot you an e-mail!

Just an FYI – it’s completely free to be a part of the accountability group.

We ARE going to be reading this book throughout the 21 days and discussing it. That’s the only thing that might be worth buying!)

  1. I signed up in the form! This sounds great. I’m in a weight loss program through my hospital – so I get accountability that way- but this sounds like it will be extra motivating and I’ll have people to talk to on a regular basis, which is great.
