Scenes from the Weekend: 10/6/25

We had our final summer weekend!

In October.

So random, but I’ll take it, I’ll take it, I’ll take it.

The first two weeks of June were straight rain here so I felt like we were owed a little something, y’know?

The past week has been so nice, getting together with friends at the pool, the park, the splash pad. I was torn because we missed our sweet Adi’s 1st birthday party in California. I hated not being there to celebrate him, to hug everyone, to watch him dive into his cake. First birthdays only happen once, and it stung to miss such a big moment. But after the whirlwind of this summer, it felt like I needed to put the suitcases away and give our family a little time to breathe. Even still, a part of me wishes I could’ve been in two places at once.

It’s nice to have our feet on the ground for a bit. Just kinda doing the same routine day in and day out. My brain definitely needed this.

Today, we get an extra special visitor for some extra special cousin time and I, for one, can’t wait. I mean, Ishu’s pretty dang excited, but I think I’m the most excited. He was, after all, my first baby. 🙂

Okay, I’m off to hang out with my THREE kids today! <3
