Scenes from the Weekend: 1/8/24

Good morning!

Another weekend, come and gone.

This weekend was the weekend of makeovers.

The apartment got a makeover.

We are still in the midst of making it over.

It’s not at all finished yet.

But we got the ball rolling and that feels real nice.

And Ishu got a haircut.

And mama took a shower.

So, y’know. MAKEOVERS FOR ALL!

We got new couches and Ishu got a new bed.

And we finally decided to take down Suma.

Which resulted in a deep cleaning of Ishu’s Legos. Because Suma was sitting on Ishu’s Lego table and water dripped into the table, resulting in some dewey, slimy Lego pieces.

I think it was a sign from the Christmas Gods that we gotta get a big Christmas tree next year. Now that Ishu’s stuff is moving into his room, we’ll have plenty of living room space. (I say that now, but with a 1-year old next Christmas, I’m sure there will be a bunch of new toddler toys out here by then).

And, other than the makeovers, we played a lot of Uno and watched a lot of Disney.

Now I’ve gotta get this baby down for his first nap of the day.
