Happy BIRTHDAY To Me! =)

Happy BIRTHDAY TO ME! Just popping in real quick to share the days events up until now. We are waiting for my dad to get home from work before we all head out for dinner so thought I would upload some pictures. This morning I woke up early – thanks to all the lovely phone calls – THANK YOU EAST COAST FAMILY. Nothing like a 6AM wake-up  call to get the day going;)

I got a great work-out in (FUN FACT: Apparently at 24-Hour Fitness, if it’s your birthday, something pops up on their computers when you scan your finger and then everyone wishes you happy birthday and you feel WAY COOL).

After the gym, I got a super cool alert. I knew FB did this. I didn’t know how legit it was. IT’S LEGIT. THANK YOU V!!!! YOU ARE A SNEAKY, SUPER PERSON. <3

A huge thank you to all the friends who sent snapchats, phone calls, and text messages. <3 You all made my day! =)

Around lunch time, I drove down to Long Beach for lunch with my friend, Sam, and her two beautiful children, Bella and Will. I used to work with Sam a few years ago when I worked at The Help Group in Culver City. I miss working with her but am so blessed that our friendship has extended beyond her little classroom! My mom even jokes that she is the “adopted daughter” since both my sister and I left southern California last year.

We went to Gladstone’s in Long Beach and it was an absolutely gorgeous place with views of the harbor. We sat on the patio and could see the Queen Mary and the LB Lighthouse. Beautiful.

They are known for their seafood but since I have a huge aversion to anything that tastes fishy (I wish I didn’t!), I ordered the Chicken Club Wrap. Not bad for a seafood place!

I got home and was surprised with a package.

MY SISTER IS THE COOLEST. A few months ago, Sister and I coined the acronym: GSD. Stands for “Get Shit Done.” On days when we were so overwhelmed with work. On those days where I just sat and stared at my desk instead of doing anything because there was just too much to do. We would just tell each other we needed to GSD.

So there we go. My very own GET SHIT DONE shirt. Baller. And a beautiful mason-jar sippy cup. Because I refuse to drink water unless I have a straw.

Now the father has returned and I’m being rushed out of the house for more celebrations. Will report on DIVYA’S BIRTHDAY 2.0 WHEN I RETURN!
