WIAW Goes Green

WIAW GOES GREEN

What I Ate Wednesday GOES GREEN in honor of March and all the funny-looking leprechauns! And thanks to my Sunday food prep, there was a lot of green in my daily eats! 🙂

FIRST OF ALL, I think it should be noted that I did NOT reach for one or two or five of these delicious-looking treats. Yes, working at a middle school = hazardous to your health. THE FOOD JUST KEEPS COMING IN.

More Snacks (2:00PM) – Blueberries, Handful of M&Ms, and a Tootsie Pop (could have done without the chocolate, but you don’t want to stand in the way of a girl and her chocolate. Especially during certain times of the month. This might be the second time I’ve shared too much information on this blog. SUBTLE DIVERSION – LOOK, THERE ARE TWO GREEN M&MS IN HONOR OF MARCH WIAW.)

I’m craving something sweet. So I may pop a VitaTop in the microwave in an hour or so. WE’LL SEE. Maybe this gum I’m chewing will start to taste like an ice cream sundae or something….

I also decided to forgo the gym today in favor of a walk around the neighborhood. I think that it was the perfect stress-relief! 🙂

Happy Hump Day To ALL! =)

********************************************************

Is Wednesday ACTUALLY your Hump Day? Or do you find that there are other days that are more difficult to get through? I have lots of hump days. Monday. Wednesday. Sometimes Tuesday.

Do you know the trick to making your lettuce cups look all professional like P.F. Changs? Mine look all floppy.

  1. I’m so jealous of your walk with that blooming tree! I’m in VA and we’re having a random blizzard today…in March…when it’s supposed to be getting warm and spring like!

  2. we’ve been making lettuce wraps a lot in the past three weeks or so and are having the hardest time finding a way to keep them together nicely. the only solution so far: double up the lettuce 🙂

  3. Generally grown as a hardy annual, lettuce is easily cultivated, although it requires relatively low temperatures to prevent it from flowering quickly. It can be plagued with numerous nutrient deficiencies, as well as insect and mammal pests and fungal and bacterial diseases. L. sativa crosses easily within the species and with some other species within the Lactuca genus; although this trait can be a problem to home gardeners who attempt to save seeds, biologists have used it to broaden the gene pool of cultivated lettuce varieties. ‘-..
