Weekend Snapshots: 10/31/16

Good morning and Happy Halloween!

I saw this little gem on Instagram yesterday and it made me laugh out loud so I thought I’d share it here. Anyone else feel the same?

I took absolutely zero photos this weekend so you’re going to have to trust me when I say it was a good one.

I went to Step Aerobics on Friday evening and then went, again, on Saturday morning. After class on Saturday, a few of us went to Knoxville to grab lunch and do some shopping. This was the first trip to Knoxville where we didn’t stop at Trader Joes. I’ve realized that I go to Knoxville often enough now that I don’t need to grab everything in sight. I used to worry that I wouldn’t be back for months at a time, but we make a trip there every 1-2 weeks.

On Sunday morning/early afternoon, I did a 5-mile walk around the park – accompanied by Kasey! – and then did some grocery shopping for the week. The rest of the day, I meddled around with blog stuff and tried to understand all the WordPress add-ons and gadgets.

And, after 4+ years of blogging over here, I have FINALLY made a Facebook page. Now I don’t have to clog up everyone’s FB feeds when I post about my weekly confessions and how many glasses of wine I had after work. I will  only be annoying those of you that signed up to read my ramblings.

  1. Look at the beauty created with the sun and the trees — nature is everything!
Happy Halloween to you too, we don’t celebrate it here so I’d just be having fun in my own way (not with bottles definitely, lol!)
    Have fun!

  2. I’ve just visited your facebook page and must tell you it is very stylish with your logo and very youngish.
I think you had an amazing weekend: you did what you wanted (sport, shopping, blog). You are lucky!
    Happy Halloween!

  3. This is what we do on Halloween, we watch American movies of people celebrating Halloween…..on a serious note though, we do not observe nor celebrate Halloween in these parts so it becomes another day (the retail industry is trying to be sneaky about it and introduce it though).

  4. I tried commenting earlier on but I’m not sure if it did go through. If this is a duplicate comment please do delete it. We do not celebrate Halloween here in South Africa except watching Halloween series’ episodes and Halloween themed movies. We simply watch others celebrating it….lol.

  5. So glad to see you’ve made a Facebook page for your blog! I actually was going to say that last week when I clicked on your social symbols through your blog, the FB one wasn’t working. I’ll have to do that again and follow from my personal account (Charlotte Klein).

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend and awesome that you went to two fitness classes AND jogging 🙂 Go you!

  6. I won’t be dressing up for Halloween and will actually be staying home. I did buy some candy in case anyone shows up at my door. I ended up working at clients both Saturday and Sunday. I also took my Mom food shopping on Sunday–I was exhausted by the time I got home!

  7. Happy Halloween!! Congrats on your new facebook page! It looks great and I just liked it for you 🙂 We don’t have any big plans for tonight, just chillin’ at home!

  8. Happy Halloween! I am excited to get the kiddos out tonight, they cannot wait although it’s freezing and I know I am going to freeze out there tonight.

  9. Happy Halloween! It’s been a low key around here. No one is in the spirit it seems. Oh well. after about 8 kids ringing our door it has been quiet. Too much candy leftover!

  10. Woo-hoo for creating a facebook page!! That’s always exciting for sure. My night consisted of an hour plus if make up and taking the kids trick or treating.

  11. Congrats on creating a Facebook page. I am going to go on it now and LIKE it:):)

I guess we are getting old and so is our neighborhood. Our doorbell didn’t even ring once.
    No trick or treaters:(:(

Hope All of you had fun on Halloween Day…..

  12. Happy Halloween to you and yours! My kids are older now but they used to go trick-or-treating. LOVE the photos.
