things im loving 22

Good morning! This is Day 3 of waking up and working out before 7AM! I’m pretty impressed with us. It only takes a few minutes of poking and prodding (and 2 cups of coffee) to get me moving.

But, as always, I wanted to pop in here first – with my favorite post of the week! Please join the fun and share the things you’re loving this week in the comments below! Or – even better – link up your own “Things I’m Loving” post to the link-up!

  • Tandur Indian Kitchen

Tandur Indian Food Last weekend, a few of us went to Knoxville to get out of Harrogate for a bit. We started our day off at a new restaurant called Tandur Indian Kitchen. Typically, I don’t enjoy Indian food at restaurants because most of the items are buttery and creamy and make me feel a little sick to my stomach afterwards. (I’ve been spoiled by all the home-cooked, healthy meals I’ve had for most of my life!). But, this restaurant was different. It had the concept of Chipotle/Subway. Pick a base, add your toppings. And, like the name suggests, the chicken was cooked in their Tandoori oven.

    Side note:
If you DO like the creaminess and heaviness that Indian restaurants usually offer, they have options for you. But if you wanted to have a lighter meal while still satisfying that Indian food craving, this restaurant is perfect for you.

  • Popcorn in the Microwave

popcorn in the microwave I forgot how easy it was to pop your own popcorn with a bottle of seeds, a brown bag, and a microwave. I’ve been snacking on popcorn a lot this week. (It’s my go-to snack when I’m feeling munchy because you can get a LOTTA popcorn for just a few points). Just dump the seeds in a bag. Fold the bag once or twice on top. And stick it in the microwave. After it’s all popped, I’ll spray it with some olive oil and seasonings. It’s so convenient. No air-popper needed.

  • Tree Trunk Coasters

tree trunk coasters I bought these impulsively at the Home Goods store. (Gah! That store is almost as bad as Target. I can never walk out empty-handed). I just love the way they look. As if I’ve got some DIY-abilities in me and I handcrafted them. (Although, if you know me even a TEENY bit, you know I’ve got about two creative bones in my body. And they get used up in the classroom).

  • Food Fortunes

Food FortunesIf you know me at all, you know my love for the goddess cards. Each card gives you a specific message about how you can improve your life, health, relationships, etc. And the accompanying guidebook helps you give accurate readings for yourself. Well, for Christmas, Sister bought me these Food Fortune cards (at the recommendation of Kristy! Thanks Kristy!). And I’ve been turning to them to help me make some of those difficult decisions like “What do I want for dinner tonight?”  You simply lay the cards out – three at a time – and your meal appears. All a vision from the spirit realm.

Questions of the Day:

  • What was the last restaurant you ate at?

  • Are you a DIY-er?

  • How do you decide what’s for dinner?
  • What’s one thing you’re loving this week?
