Things I’m Loving Thursday #14

Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you’re enjoying the day off, spending time with family/friends, and eating lots of flavorful food! I, for one, am ready to indulge in all sorts of delicious things today and, again, tomorrow for Friendsgiving!

I thought I’d give myself the next couple of days off from blogging, but figured I’d carry on with the usual Things I’m Loving theme for today since it is, after all, Thanksgiving! I’ll be gone tomorrow, but will be back on Monday to report on our weekend festivities!

Here are a couple things that have made me smile this week. Feel free to play along in the comments and share one thing that you’re loving! I read each and every one of your comments and love them all!

  • Sister Visiting from DC

    Sister Divya
Sister got in yesterday and she’s here for a week! I love having family visit us and, even better, I love that I have the next couple of days off to show her around and explore this area with her. We’re going on a hike later this morning and then we’ll start cooking our Thanksgiving feast together. I love, love, love Sissy time.

  • The Sloth Scene from Zootopia

    Sloth Scene Zootopia

We watched this movie last night after dinner. The sloth scene at the DMV makes me laugh out loud each and every time I watch it. (And, yes, I’ve watched it many, many times). Ankur and I like to imitate the sloth laugh. Where our eyes and mouth slowly get wider and bigger and we let out a huge belly laugh. Of course, I can’t make it through the entire imitation without breaking character and laughing a little. OK. A LOT.

  • Peggy

    Peggy
I know I broke the holiday rules by purchasing my Christmas tree before Thanksgiving was over. But, my pine friends give me so much joy. Peggy is all decorated and ready to celebrate Thanksgiving WITH us. She smells so great and is such a delight to have around. There’s something about walking into our home and inhaling that deep pine smell that makes everything feel so cozy and warm.

I’m spending the day by myself as I chose not to travel when there’s a chance I may be needed for additional work tomorrow, but I have been cooking what is sure to be a delicious meal and I’m making sure there are also plenty of leftovers for the next few days! 🙂

  9. Family time is always nice, I hope you have a lovely time with your sister. I love the Christmas tree, I can’t wait to put mine up. We don’t actually celebrate thanksgiving in Australia, but for some reason we do have online black Friday sales, so I’m loving that we have that.
