A Rushed Scenes from This Weekend

This post is brought to you by an educator exhibiting severe Sunday panic. But, also, an educator who really likes to blog and document ALL THE THINGS.

AKA “this post is going to be quick.”

This weekend:

Blushies were consumed for the very first time. It’s a toss-up between a blushie and a swirl. I can’t tell which one I like more. They’re both equally delicious and equally S-T-R-O-N-G. The dashes were used for emphasis.

Champagne was also consumed. Because, in the words of the wise Kate Laux, “without champagne, what is brunch?”

Happy Birthday EMMA! 🙂

Also, TED talks were watched. About the brain. Because when you hang out with two school psychologists, it’s the cool thing to do. <3

Today, I woke up early (unintentionally, but that’s what happens when you go to bed at 9:30) and went to Downtown Campbell for the Farmy! And Starbs. (I like abbreviations.)

I had a roasting party when I got home and my fridge is happily stuffed for the week. No more Cheez-its for lunch.

I also bought this spicy tofu from the Farmers Market. SO GOOD.

And $5 for my new friend, Leonard.

Mid-afternoon, my uncle came to visit! He was driving down from Sacramento and stopped by to say HELLO. What a fun Sunday surprise.

After he left, I made a quick trip for Coffee – Round 2:

And then a stop at the new Sprouts that just opened up in the same shopping complex. Sunday mornings are about to get SO much more efficient.

Some of the Sunday stress showed up a little earlier than usual. And it forced me to buy these chips that caught my eye:

I was a little stressed because we’re starting Guided Reading groups this week. And I’ve never led guided reading groups last year and had no idea where to start or what to do. Hence the impulse buy.

Thank goodness for best friends that feed me dinner and walk me through the entire process of guided reading. I’m the luckiest.

I’m also pretty stoked to read Clifford with the little ones tomorrow.

Now, I’m off to do a few more things before bed. Hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend! 🙂
