Fun Facts: Pizza, Soup, and Football

Happy Friday! I missed last week’s Fun Facts post because I was so sick, but like I’ve said before, it’s my favorite post to write. Probably because 1) It’s my favorite day of the week (duh!) and 2) It’s a LIST. I love lists. They are perfect for a scatterbrain like me.

So, let’s get going.

1) My new favorite game to play at happy hour is “Empty Your Pockets.” You know you’re a teacher when…….

 

2) And then when happy hour leads to “happier hour,” my other favorite game to play is “Let’s Make Friends With ALL THE PEOPLE!”

 

3) Just in case you were wondering about the status of my new phone, the Otterbox DEFENDER Series is doing a great job taking care of it.

 

4) It’s Jean Day at work today (the last Friday of the month). Normally this doesn’t really faze me because skinny jeans are all the fad and I HATE skinny jeans. Leggings are typically my jam.

 

But, I am loving the new pair of jeans that was sent in my last Stitch Fix box. Any stylist that can find ME a pair of jeans that looks and feels wonderful deserves a raise. Just saying.

5) I am now officially in a Soup Club! My friend from work, Larissa, was telling me about her desire to start one and I jumped on board. Basically, there are four people involved. Each person “owns” a week and gets to make the soup and deliver it to the three others. So I make soup once a month. And I GET soup three times a month. I love soup.

6) I know everyone’s a little biased about their parents, but isn’t my dad just the cutest?

7) BethyV and I made pizza twice this week. I think it’s fun that I get to live with someone who likes pizza just as much (if not more!) as I do!

It’s the first pizza we made that was perfectly round!

Practice makes perfect! (And we’re clearly practicing ALL the time)

8) I have been trying to get through “Where’d You Go, Bernadette?” so I can start our book club book, Unbroken. It’s not that the book is terrible. It’s just that every time I lay down to read a bit before bed, I fall asleep. Oops.

9) I use purple font when I respond to e-mails. Unprofessional? Maybe. But I just think it shows character. And I’m quite the character.

10) The Super Bowl is this Sunday. And I’m excited. Primarily because of the snacking involved. Not because of the game. I just really love football-shaped food.
