Fun Facts Friday: 9/9/16

It’s Friday!

I just spent the last 30 minutes battling the wifi router so I’m fully awake. Before that, however, I was a walking zombie who had just pushed the snooze button on her alarm 3 times. Normally, when the alarm goes off, I’m up and moving. But today I felt tired and didn’t want to get out of bed. Luckily, the weekend is here and I predict a ton of sleep!

In addition to some quality time with my bed, I will probably hang out with some SAA-ers on Saturday after our step class. But before I completely unplug for the weekend, let’s share some fun facts from the week. As always, feel free to share fun facts from your week in the comments below! I always love reading them! 🙂

Hope you all have a nice, relaxing weekend ahead of you!

1) My principal brought me a Sweet Tea – unsweetened – from McDs for having perfect attendance in August.

It was such a small gesture but extremely thoughtful. She’s created a positive culture at our school among the staff and students and it’s little things like this that contribute to it!

2) Every day I carry ALL my work home with me. Only to carry it back to work the next morning – incomplete.

3) I’ve been eating a homemade, egg-white, breakfast sandwich every morning.

Two slices of my favorite bread, egg whites (made with garlic, salt, pepper, red chili flakes), 4 slices of deli turkey, and a slice of Kraft cheese. All for 8 WW points. So filling and delicious.

4) The studio we have Step Aerobics at is going to be offering Spin Classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Which means I should probably cancel my gym membership. I feel like I’m more inclined to go to these group classes right now than work out by myself. And the classes here are so cheap. Seriously – best $3 workout. The spin classes are probably $5, but compared to the cost of group classes everywhere else, I’ll gladly take it!

5) We have our first Book Club meeting this Sunday at our apartment.

when breath becomes air

I’m excited to be a part of a Book Club again. I am not quite done with the book we’ve chosen yet. I’ve been putting off the last chapter because every time I pick it up to read it, I tear up and get really emotional. It’s a really difficult part to get through. It’s a good book and he’s a good writer; I just feel sad. And it makes life seem so unfair. And also really unpredictable. So be sure to love on the ones that make you happy and tell them how much you appreciate them any chance you get.

  1. I need to celebrate more of what I do accomplish each day. I have a hard time finding rewards for myself unless I’ve just finished a BIG project or created a HUGE difference in what I’m working toward. Thanks for the reminder 🙂

  2. I love how positive this post is. Little victories are meant to be celebrated because they are what motivates us and keeps us going everyday.
