Five Year Blogging Anniversary #Giveaway
Five years ago, I was laying belly-down on the floor of my parent’s living room when I hit “Publish” on my very first blog post.
I had just graduated from my M. Ed. program and had temporarily moved back home with my parents while I figured out what my next move was going to be. I knew I was about to make a huge transition that summer. Having spent the previous 20-something years being a carefree, happy-go-lucky student, I was about to dive head-first into being a full-time, responsible, overworked educator.
I was growing up.
And I knew that I wanted a way to capture this metamorphosis. I wanted a place to capture my interview adventures, my classroom mishaps, and the silly things my students said. But, more importantly, I just wanted an outlet. To express my frustrations, share my wins and failures, and connect with others who could offer me words of wisdom or even a simple, “We’ve all been there. Don’t worry. It gets better.”
I didn’t realize that this blog I decided to start on a whim was going to stick around for very long. I’m not the best at following through with things – especially things that require a lot of consistency and thought. But, here we are, five years later, and Eat Teach Blog is still going strong.
