Confessions of a BloggerHolic #55 [#LinkUp]

Good morning!

I skipped the gym this morning in favor of writing this blog post. But, also, because my Keurig isn’t working right and there’s no way I can rally up the energy to get a workout in without injecting myself with some sort of caffeine. So, I’ll try again after work today.

But, more importantly, I didn’t want to let another week go by without sharing the embarrassing bloopers of my life, y’know?

So, here we go. Here are some confessions from this past week. If you’re brave enough, share a confession in the comments or – even better – link up your own Confessions post in the link-up below!

 1) Last night, I was supposed to make cauliflower kale salad for dinner.

Instead, we had a tray of homemade nachos.

2) Right before I jumped into the bath last night, I snapped a picture of my fancy new bath caddy to share on my Facebook page and captioned it: “If you need me, I’ll be here all night.”

Well, I most definitely was not. I lasted about 20 minutes before I felt like the walls of the bathroom were going to close in on me. It was like a sauna in there. Moral of the story: Don’t believe everything you read on social media. My night looked like it was relaxing, but it was just really sweaty and uncomfortable

3) I’m shamelessly addicted to Game of Thrones.

We just finished Season 2 last night. And I’m already scheduling the rest of the week’s events around the next season.

4) This has been my life every single day for the past two weeks.

Thank goodness for Spring Break next week.

Questions of the Day:

  • What did you have for dinner last night?
  • What TV show are you addicted to?
  • ‘FESS UP! Tell me a secret.

  1. Confession: I know I’m super unproductive at home, so I find any excuse to go to Starbucks or Dunkin’ so that I will actually accomplish something! If I don’t, I wind up reading or binge watching Netflix.

Love the bathtub one though! lol

  2. I cant really blame you because nachos sounds so much better. I had cauliflower rice the other night and I was like “yeah queso would be better”

  3. Lol! I can relate, I don’t even like baths but they always look nice. I don’t last more than 20 mins myself.
Last night I planned to make salmon and veggies but ended up having a can of soup. I love Game of Thrones too and can’t wait for the new season! Right now my favorite show is This Is Us.

  4. Game of Thrones is so addicting! We got sucked in and are on season 5. This is not a show I would typically watch, but it is SO good. I love that tray for the bathtub but your story made me laugh…real life! Have a great day!

  5. Yes please to the M&Ms. I always wondered how people read books etc while in their tubs without making a mess. Thanks so much for sharing that caddy! Totally need that. But then when I get it I’m afraid I may spend too much time in there lol.

  6. Took my daughter to McDonald’s last night after her band concert performance. The rest of the family had steak at home, but I just couldn’t do another night of steak (my hubby’s favorite). Walking Dead is my favorite show 🙂

  7. You know, the last time I tried to take a bath, I couldn’t get comfortable either. I didn’t know what to do with my head! I guess that’s why people have bath pillows? Either way, it always sounds great in theory I guess 🙂

Also nachos for dinner is amazing, even if it was a fallback plan!

    XOXO

  8. That’s is funny about the bath! Weird how it is always a good idea in theory, and fantastic for like the first 5 minutes. But then….. I’m out lol.

  9. I would have made nachos too! 😀 And sadly, I have yet to watch an episode of Game of Thrones, maybe one day!

  10. This is cute. I feel ya 100%. You plan to do one thing, but sometimes your mind and body has other plans. Those Nachos looked good. I have a plethora of fav tv shows, but I’m binging Chrisley Knows Best, KMichelle My Life, and Season 1 of Supergirl

  11. Man those nachos looked good. It literally made my stomach grumble. Game Of Thrones is must see T.V. really disappointed this might be the last season. Confession #4 is classic its how I feel about work period!

  12. I’ve been so busy I can’t even remember what I ate for dinner last night. BTW, the tub confession was hilarious! I was addicted to reruns of the Good Wife. I had never watched it when it was current. But I stopped watching when The Good Wife started to do very naughty things. LOL!

  13. I must confess, I skipped the gym this morning too… and I’m pretty sure I won’t be going tonight because my in-laws are coming over for home made pizza and wine, and honestly I would rather stay home in good company that go to the gym! Ah well… there’s always next week (I loved your comic about going back to school too… hehehe!)

  14. It seams I am the only one who is not into Game of Trones…I didn’t even watch a minute of it…I guess I might give it a try. 🙂 Such a fun post. 🙂

  15. Although you missed your workout that was a very enjoyable post. You also made a very valid post, who’s behind the scenes. I this I will do a post and introduce myself. Hummm…. I hope you were able to get your caffeine and made it a great day.

  16. I am equally addicted to Game of Thrones, although I’m a little farther along then you and have to wait for them to release the next season before watching. I used to teach so I get waiting for spring break to get here. And I get that life on Facebook always looks better than it really is.

  17. Nachos sound delicious. And that bath Cady oh I love it. I think missing your work out was worth it being home. Now I’m hungry looking at those nachos.

  18. I love that bath caddy! I hope that if I get to have one, I don’t knock the stuff over. I can be a klutz sometimes. LOL. You wanted to know what we had for dinner last night? It was corned beef and cabbage I made in the crock pot while contemplating whether I should buy an Instant Pot or not.

  19. Nachos for the win!! I am slightly embarrassed to say that I watch Vampire Diaries (I have the whole season ready to watch on my DVR). I watched the first episode and got hooked. It helps that Ian Somerhaulder is nice to look at.

  20. First off, three cheers for spring break next week!! It’s definitely MUCH needed.
Also, what I like to do when the bath gets too hot is put some cold water on a wash cloth and hold it to my forehead or back of my neck to cool off. I always keep some cold water with me too!

  21. Our spring break is still so far away! I am so tired, and know that a few mornings of not making lunches and racing out the door is the cure I need.

  22. Blogging really is a labour of love isn’t it? I love to write so it certainly isn’t work for me but you have to stay focused and organised. In regards to Game of Thrones, you’re speaking to me for sure. I am anxiously waiting for this season to start. It’s going to one of those epic stories that will stand the test of time.

  23. I always wonder when I watch people take baths for hours on TV. No matter how comfortable it is, I never spend more than 20 minutes there. It always gives me a weird feeling and dizziness too. I love your bath set up!

  24. I’m loving this post right now. I am LOVE nacho trays too and that bath tray…..um, what? where has this been all my life? I want one….like yesterday. Every morning I struggle with school too (I homeschool my two boys), I feel your pain. Our spring break isn’t until April!

  25. I love so many shows but currently my favorite is ‘This is US’ and ‘Big Little Lies’. As for Spring Break, it is still few weeks away for us.
