Confessions of a BloggerHolic #42

Good morning!

Having Halloween on a Monday has made it real difficult to function the rest of the week. I’m struggling over here but, hopefully, it’s nothing that another cup of coffee won’t fix.

I’m going to make this morning’s post short and sweet.

Here we go!

__

Confession:

I’ve already got the Christmas music playing over here. I listened to Justin Bieber Holiday Radio on my commute to and from work yesterday. I have no shame. The Christmas decorations are slowly going to make their way out of their boxes!

Confession:

I didn’t make it to Step Aerobics yesterday. Instead, Ankur and I chased the taco truck around. And then, when we gave them our order, I realized I didn’t have enough cash. So I walked through the “drive-through only” ATM so I could get money for the add-on nachos.

Confession:

This past weekend, we went to Knoxville and ate lunch at Zoe’s Cafe. As we were eating, they brought out a tray of freshly baked cookies. We all bought one to split and then, being the nice wife that I am, I bought another to bring home to Ankur. Except I ate half of it before I gave it to him. I’m an excellent gift-giver.

  1. 1) I’ll listen to holiday music when I am moved to—I don’t care what time of the year it is! Hehe 🙂

    2) When I lived in Hawaii my favorite food truck was the famous Giovanni’s Shrimp in Kahuku. It was doused in butter and garlic (the shrimp, not the truck. haha).

    3) Confession: I have a laundry basket full of clothes that need to be hanged. It’s been there for 4 days, and today is NOT the day to hang them either. I’m gonna take a fall hike instead 🙂 #priorities

That was a fun survey. Thank you!

  2. I dont really listen to holiday music, so I am not listening to it now at all, it would be WAY too early, it is only November, LOL. OMG, everyone knows how much I love cookies, I would like one just as it is in the picture.

  3. I haven’t started listening yet to Christmas music. I usually start decorating after Christmas but I do like seeing all the Christmas stuff now. I love the movie Elf.

  4. I usually start at Thanksgiving. Last year I didn’t feel like I had enough time to listen to holiday music so I’ll start earlier this year.

  5. There were a few new Christmas albums that came out last Friday so even though Halloween wasn’t here yet, I totally started listening to some Christmas music…I also felt a bit ridiculous but it was fun!

  6. Well who can resist fresh baked cookies? NO ONE. I usually start thinking about Christmas in November, but I don’t bust out the music till December 1st 🙂 Can’t wait to plug in my Christmas lights though, so beautiful!

  7. I would gladly accept the other half of that cookie. It looks amazing.

I try not to listen to holiday music, because Christmas stresses me out. I’m not sure why – it just always has.

My favorite food truck is one in Albuquerque that always parks in downtown on weekends, usually outside Effex across the street from my favorite pizza joint (Aldo’s – I miss it so…). It serves Cajun food and they’re incredibly friendly.

Confession: Hm… I don’t actually like half the hobbies I mention when I start talking to guys. Hiking and yoga are fine and all, but I honestly spend 98% of my waking hours on the internet and I’d rather spend a date cuddling on a couch with a zombie movie or something.

  8. Ahhhhh as much as I love holiday music I’m trying to hold off until after thanksgiving!!! It’s going to be tough so I don’t know if I will make it lol

  9. Love your confessions. My confession is I love homemade bread. It only took my 10 years, but I can make bread better than I can buy it at the local stores. And we are talking artisan bread. There tooted my own horn. LOL Love the food trucks in Hawaii too.

  10. I have a strict rule that there’s no Christmas music or Christmas decorations until December 1st. I figure if all the other holidays get to shine on their day without the anticipation for another soon after, why can’t we do that for a day where we’re supposed to be thankful? Thanksgiving is overshadowed by the excitement of presents and Christmas parties, and I think that’s wrong. (IMHO, in my experience too).

  11. You have no idea how lucky you are. I miss the taco truck so much. I live in the country and they don’t have one. Say what? Don’t country people like tacos?

    1. I know! I live in the country too and we don’t have many options out here. That’s why we went around chasing the taco truck, hahahah. We gotta grab whatever we can get!

  12. I usually wait until November 12th to play anything Christmas in order to give the attention to the veterans. I kinda don’t like seeing the trees up or the music playing before then in shops. I loved a food truck at a winery in eastern Ontario. It had the best vegan burgers ever.

  13. Christmas talks already…………….that gets me worried.
Its fun when it is happening but the pre preparations are too stressful.
I’ll wait till after Thanksgiving to start my Christmas gift shopping for family and friends.

This year Christmas is going to be very special as we are expecting two very special family members.

  14. Im not ready for Christmas stuff yet. I have to get through Thanksgiving first then I start to worry about Christmas. Although I do know friends that have already pulled their Christmas stuff out.

  15. I love listening to Christmas music. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love the snow, food and decorations. I think it always goes by so fast!
My secret is I rarely buy Christmas gifts on Black Friday. I buy for me and my home. I always find the best deals on appliances, bedding and movies on Black Friday.

  16. We will start listening to Christmas music pretty soon. I must get myself into the spirit. Those cookies look so good. Makes me want to make some today.

  17. Here in the Philippines, we started listening and playing Christmas songs last September. The BER-month makes us feel its already Christmas season 🙂

  18. I don’t think I break out holiday music until around Thanksgiving. I don’t think I have a favorite food truck, as I seem to always be finding new ones to love.
