Christmas Miracle

Warning: There are a lot of CAPITAL WORDS in this post. Please don’t judge. It is simply my way of telling you, the reader, that I AM EXCITED.

__

They called it off! They canceled school for the day! And they made the call at 5PM yesterday. Which has given me PLENTY of time to bounce around and up and down and all over the place with excitement. (Although, even if I had found out at 7AM this morning, I’d probably still be bouncin’ around like a child). It was just exciting that I knew – ahead of time – that I didn’t have to set my alarm.

As soon as I found out, I piled on the layers and waited anxiously for the first snowfall. And, in a matter of minutes, it started coming down. So, naturally, I rushed outside and ran around the block like a child. Wide-eyed and enamored by the white things falling from the sky. I also took a few selfies. Which I should probably be embarrassed of because I’m pretty sure I saw some neighbors glancing at me through their windows.

But I’m not even embarrassed.

Because, hello. I’m from California. This is a Christmas miracle.

Questions of the Day:

  • Where was the last selfie you took?
  • What are you doing this weekend?

  9. I’m glad you got the chance to enjoy some snow – I’m sure it’s a big deal for a California girl! I first saw snow when I was sixteen, and I left work to find that it had snowed. So of course, I rushed home to wake up my toddler niece and drag her outside to play with me. At about three in the morning.

After coming to California I went to Minnesota for three winters in a row and LOVED it! I can see how those living in true winter conditions get tired of it though because at the opposite spectrum, we get tired of the heat and fire storms.

  12. See you came back just in time! We haven’t gotten it quite yet but I know it’s coming. Just hovering in the air waiting to coming out.
