Best and Worst of this Makeshift Monday

Best:

Four day week. Enough said.

Worst:

Four day week. Jam packed with things as if it were a 5-day week. Not enough time to get all the things done.

Best:

I woke up super early to pack my lunch. Since I didn’t get to food prepping yesterday, a 4:30AM wake-up call was necessary.

Worst:

I didn’t touch my lunch and, instead, ate all the insides of some sandwiches the staff received from HR. And some peanuts. Not on plan. Oops.

Best:

I stayed away from the cookies and delicious treats that were brought along with the sandwiches.

Worst:

I finished all my AMAZING Minazzoli Farms almond butter.

Best:

We had a great library event for some of our kiddos and their families. It was focused primarily on how to support reading fluency and comprehension at home over the summer to avoid summer regression. It was fantastic. And we had some terrific read-alouds. 😉

Worst:

13-hour workdays don’t suit me very well.

With that, I’m off to bed.

Good night! 🙂

Questions of the Day:

  • What’s the best and worst of your day?
  • What was the best and worst of your long weekend?

  1. Ha! What a great idea for a blog but really, you should just focus on the BESTS!!!! Today was full of BESTS for me. Typically Tuesdays SUCK but since it’s a 4-day week, Tuesdays do NOT exist in these weeks! LOL!!!!!!

Typically when I bring lunch with me, I don’t get tempted by anything else because I hate wasting food!!

  2. The library event looks adorable! I just finished my school year, and I’m missing my kiddos already!

And hey – managing to stay away from the cookies is cause for celebration even if you didn’t stay completely “on plan” 🙂

  3. This 4-day work week is throwing me off & like you, I am super busy. The only night I have free is Friday, and I plan on doing nothing but relaxing in my pajamas!
