2016 – Year In Review

Good morning! Happy Last Day of 2016!

Anyone have any fun NYE plans? As always, my family and I will be ringing in the new year on the couch. With PJs. And lots of yummy snacks. (Because, obviously, we’ve gotta eat our way out of 2016 so we can start that #fitspo life on January 1st).

Before jumping into the new year, I wanted to do a recap of this past year with some of my favorite events and favorite blog posts from 2016. It was an eventful year with so many special memories so I wanted to give it a proper send-off.

So here we go.

At the beginning of the year, I got to meet my beautiful niece – just days after her birth.

I went on a family vacation in March and came back an engaged lady.

I watched one best friend get married in April and another best friend get married in July.

Our engagement party turned into our wedding and I officially became a Mrs.

My baby sister got engaged to my future brother-in-law – who pulled off the best surprise this family has ever seen.

I said goodbye to my Rocketship family and, though there were tears upon tears upon tears, I still feel so fortunate to have been a part of something so wonderful and meaningful.

I took a cross-country trip with my husband. And stayed there. Because we moved into our new apartment in Harrogate, Tennessee.
On the road trip – and a little after – I finished the entire Harry Potter series and became the newest JK Rowling groupie. I also jumped on board the Hamilton train and never looked back. I flew to DC to surprise Sister for her birthday and I also got to attend Matthew and Emily’s wedding.

We participated in our first Karwa Chauth as a married couple. And followed it up with pizza. (Obviously).
And we hosted many people who dared to visit us in Harrogate. My parents came in August. Ankur’s parents came in October. And Sister came (for a whole week!) in November.

So many beautiful memories. And many people who played a part in making this year so special for me.\
2016 was a wonderful year. Thank you for being a part of the journey!
Cheers!
