All our posts are about Uno these days because that’s pretty much what the day consists of. I mean, work and school and stuff. But when we’re not doing that, it’s Uno time.
Ishu recently discovered that the faster he can get ready in the morning, the more time that leaves for Uno.
So that helps, y’know?
We played a few rounds after he got home from school yesterday. And a little bit during dinner.
And, of course, when you wake up at 5:45am, that makes for lots of Uno time in the morning. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him get dressed so quickly. Ha.
Anyway, I’m going to go get my day started.
But before I do, I wanted to share some funny things Ishu’s been saying during Uno. Which may or may not make sense to anyone reading this. But it makes me laugh every time.
If we put down a card that changes the color (like a Wild or the same number in a different color), he’ll loudly exclaim, “I DON’T AGREE!” and then changes the color to something else.
When I put a +2 down, he says, “+2 for me….THAT DOESN’T EVEN EXIST.” Which doesn’t even make sense to me really. But it makes me laugh still.
When he has a Wild card he wants to put down, he’ll say, “I don’t have a 4…….BUT………(and draw it out real slow)………I have something better…….”
And then when he has a move where he discards a ton of cards. Like a Skip, and then a Reverse and then a Reverse in a different color and then a Skip in that same color and then a card (because you can do all that in one go when you’re playing against only one other person), he smiles real big at you and says, “WAS THAT SO COOL MAMA? WAS THAT A COOL MOVE?”
We are Uno obsessed over here.
So much so that when he had to pause to go to the bathroom last night, he got up and said, “I’m going to go do a yellow.”
And then he ran back to the couch and said, “I’m actually going to go do a yellow and a brown.”
Ha.
The little Uno-loving monkey.
Okay, I better get going. Gotta try to be productive during my non-Uno hours.
Have a good one!
