Good morning!
I’m trying not to stress out about the fact that it’s already so freakin’ freezing over here. Mostly ’cause I know it’s only going to get colder and colder in the coming weeks.
Fall is my favorite season, HANDS DOWN. But that whole ‘winter is coming’ (not in the GoT kinda way) is always in the back of my mind.
Last week, Monday, was Ishu’s first day of school. And, pretty much, since Tuesday, he’s had a mild cold. Nothing that’s bothered him in any way. But it’s like his little body was like, “WOAH. These are new germs.” Being in school, coupled with the quick change in weather, has his nose running like a faucet these days.
I know it’s normal. I just need to make sure MY immune system is ready for this. Ha.
But, despite the runny nose, he is such a happy little kid. I drop him off and he’s happy. I pick him up and he’s happy. And, when I look at the pictures his teacher uploads to the site, he seems pretty dang happy.
Not only that, but they’ve managed to wean him off the pacifier, potty-train him (for pee, at least!), get him to nap solo, and eat relatively well (both at school and then at home because this kid is HUNGRY at the end of the day).
I am so proud of this little guy and so amazed at the big, big changes that have happened in the last week alone.
He’s currently still sleeping (after falling asleep at 7pm). Not sure the last time this kid slept for a solid 12 hours like this, but I’ll take it.
Now this mama has got to get ready for her day. I’ve got no testing on my schedule today so I will likely camp out at a coffee shop to do some report writing. And then squeeze in an afternoon OTF class.
Happy hump day!
