I think I’m falling asleep too early at night because I was up at 3:30AM this morning.
But, maybe my sleep on all Sunday nights isn’t the greatest because I never want the weekend to be over! This one was especially nice because it was both relaxing and eventful. I didn’t get around to taking too many pictures, but I’ll share the ones I have!
Friday:
Right after work, Ankur and I drove out to Morristown to get our Asian fix at Sakura. He got sushi rolls and I got teriyaki chicken. Yes. Yes. Yes.
I was grateful to get some time away from all the stress and the crazy of his normal schedule. And I was also grateful to get some real food. That I didn’t have to make.
Saturday:
Just like every Saturday, we started it off with Brenda and our free-weights.
And, as always, she kicked our butt.
Which was probably a good thing because we spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch, watching chick flicks, eating M&M cookies by the handful, and drinking bottles of wine.
Jax joined in on the festivities too.
Katy and Jax came over afterward and we made pizza and watched Friends.
While Jax sniffed his way around the whole apartment.
Eventually, all the carbs caught up to me and I passed out pretty soon after Katy and Jax left.
Sunday:
I went to the gym and went for a walk with Katy to attempt to burn off all the calories that were consumed on Saturday. The remainder of the afternoon was spent in the kitchen making food for Book Club!
Most people hadn’t read the book so we didn’t talk about it in depth. Which was probably a good thing because I would have cried. And nobody needs to see that side of me yet.
But it was really nice to be able to hang out with everyone and meet some spouses for the first time!
And we picked our new book – which will hopefully be less of an emotional read.
I’ve downloaded it on the Kindle and will likely start it this week even though we won’t be meeting until mid-October.
Now I’m off to wash some of those dishes from last night and brew me another cup of coffee!
Hope you all have a good Monday and are feeling refreshed and rejuvenated from the weekend!
Questions of the Day:

- What did you do this weekend?

This weekend was super lowkey for me, hanging out with the boyfriend before we’re forced to spend a little less time together due to college, and marathoning Stranger Things on Netflix. However! Next weekend I am attending my first ever festival as an independent blogger, and that promises to be a lot more exciting! <3

I did a lot of sleeping this weekend like a lot a lot but I definitely needed it cause friday night I was in the ER due to all the pain I was in. I can say I feel pretty rested.

On Saturday, my husband and I went up to Minnesota for a family reunion on his side of the family, but then I spent the rest of the weekend relaxing because the county fair is going on this week and I felt that I needed to take some extra time to relax before the chaotic week begins!

Glad you had a nice weekend, the food looks so yummy. Here in Europe it was not a special weekend but I got to spend more time with my little one as I am back to work from maternity leave so it was great to have the time again.

I am currently reading the Jack Brennan Golden Acorn series to my children. Such a cute read! Similar to the Harry Potter series but not as vivid. This weekend I had a dinner date with four other Clinical Lab Scientists that I am great friends with! We had drinks and some rockin cheesecake! Then of course laundry to bring in the new week. 😀
