Back from another beautiful weekend with family and friends.
In the past few days, I was able to celebrate some special people, take advantage of the gorgeous SoCal weather, and spend some quality time with some of my favorite people.
Saturday:
I’ve been using the Order Ahead feature on the Starbucks app. Because there’s really nothing cooler than walking past the long line of people to pick up my already-ordered coffee. BUT, it really confuses me when I see a Starbs cup with my real name on it and not “Sarah.” This is going to take some time to get used to.
After Sarah/Divya?! had her fill of caffeine, we went to the Farmer’s Market. We didn’t end up buying or needing anything. But it’s always fun to taste all the samples of pluots.
We fueled up on some fruit (and maybe another coffee) and then met up with Zack and Molly for a hike in the Irvine/Lake Forest area.
The sun stayed hidden for most of the hike, which was perfect weather for trekking up that big hill.
After the hike, we went to Mustard Cafe for some lunch. But ended up choosing a breakfast option because when someone offers you a free mimosa with a breakfast item, you change your order so you can get the free mimosa.
Randy and Lara:
In the late afternoon, we drove up to LA to celebrate Randy and Lara’s wedding! They had a small wedding ceremony in early October with just their families. But, this past Saturday, they had a celebratory dinner with their friends at Spago in Beverly Hills.
They were greeting everyone at the door and I was so surprised to see Lara in her wedding dress! She looked absolutely GORGEOUS and Randy could NOT stop smiling. I loved getting to celebrate the two of them with the people that love them most. They are really something special.
They had a lot more people there than I thought! Even still, it had a small, intimate, cozy feeling. And Randy and Lara made multiple rounds to each table to chat with all their friends, which made it seem even more tight-knit.
I loved everything about it. Especially seeing how happy Randy is. It makes my heart the happiest.
Sunday:
I could have stayed in bed for hours, but was woken up at 7AM because my parents made reservations at a restaurant in Pelican Hill.
It’s pretty crazy that this place is only a few miles from us. It’s just tucked away behind some trees and mansions and Teslas. So I never knew it existed.
After breakfast, we had some special visitors. <3 I’m so so happy they stopped by on their way to Tyler’s house. The next time I see them will probably be for Gina’s bridal shower!
After a short visit with my Favorite, we packed up (And my mom packed up all the food she cooked for us. MOMS ARE THE BEST!) and made our way to the airport.
The visit was short but crammed full of special memories.
Feeling pretty lucky this Monday morning! 🙂
Have a good one!
Questions of the Day:
- Do you have a Starbucks name that’s not your own?
- How did you spend your weekend?
