Good morning!
We have been absent from the blog this week. Mostly because life in the morning is a tornado. But you already know that.
But, here we are today.
Sharing some snippets from the week.
Monday
We picked Ishu up before his nap since he didn’t get much sleep the night before. But he didn’t want to nap. So, instead, the two of us went on a “lava adventure” where we climbed around the streets of Chicago and dodged the “lava” (the people). Thank you, Danny Go, for that one.
We ended up at Navy Pier and continued our lava adventure, along with our journey to hunt dead monsters. Yeah, I don’t know either. 3-year old boy for ya.
We paused for some ice cream.
And then he wanted to head upstairs to see if the carousel was open.
It was not.
He didn’t know the word for “tarp” or “cover,” so he looked at the carousel for a long time and asked, “Mama, why is there a scarf on it?”
Ha.
Tuesday
Maybe we were out in the cold for too long. But Ishu woke up with a teeny bit of congestion so we took a sick day on Tuesday.
Lots of brother time.
We watched Wall-E. And Lady and the Tramp.
And we made our Valentine cards for all our friends.
There are 14 kids in his class. Coincidentally, he also has 14 best friends.
I love children.
Wednesday
Valentines Day!
We donned our red clothing.
We got spoiled with Valentines goodies (which happened to also be breakfast this morning).
Ankur and I got to watch a full grown-up movie. (He’s having us work through the X-men series before we watch The Marvels, for whatever reason. I don’t question. I just show up).
And we had a nice V-Day lunch with our little third wheel.
Then we attached the 4th wheel after school and went to the park for a bit before deciding it was too cold so we, instead, took the “super secret” way home (which is just walking through all the NW buildings) and stopped for a V-Day milkshake for Ishu.
And we’ve made it to today.
The days are flying by.
I know the saying goes, “The days are long, but the years are short,” but it really feels like the days are short too. And time is flying by. And I just want to hold on so tight. But it keeps going. Faster and faster and faster.
Gah.
Okay, I must go squish my baby now before diving into my work day.
Have a good one!

Just wanted to stop by and say Hiii 👋🏽😆
I absolutely love reading your blogs. I don’t even know how many years I’ve been doing it now but it’s my favorite part of my mornings. Sending you, the boys, and Ankur a big belated Valentine’s Day hug 🤗
