Good morning!
We’ve all been getting up with Ankur’s alarm these days. It’ll stir us awake and then, 15 minutes later, Ishu will climb out of bed and head to the bathroom to find Papa.
We are early morning birds over here.
Which worked in my favor today because I had some time to put together the V-Day cards for Ishu’s class. The cards come with little finger puppets, which I think is the cutest thing ever.
Yesterday evening, his class had a Parfait Party where we made yogurt parfaits and decorated their V-Day bags. At one point, Ishu grabbed a child’s chair and then dragged over two adult chairs to the little area where he takes his nap. (Which also happened to be where our family photo sits). And the three of us congregated around his sleeping area for a short bit.
I just love the opportunities to get to be in his space. He feels so excited to show us everything and show us how independent he is in his classroom.
I jokingly told his teacher yesterday that I’m going to intentionally mess up his potty training progression in an effort to keep him in her class as long as possible. We love her – and the assistant guide of the classroom – so much and, even though the teachers of the older kiddos are probably wonderful, we’ve come to love this little community and it’s going to be so hard (on me, the most) when he turns 3 and has to transition!
Anyway, I am going to go get started on breakfast. Mostly avocado toast these days and I’m lovin’ it. Going to try to make some heart-shaped eggs to get into the Valentines spirit. Ha.
Hope you have a happy V-Day!
