Morning!
This post is coming later than usual because Ishu somehow managed to find a whiteboard marker – while I was making breakfast – and drew all over the wall. Ha.
I Magic Eraser-ed like crazy and it’s almost all out. (Also, my workout for the day is done. Scrubbing marker out of a wall is some real sweaty business).
Ankur and I both managed to stay pretty calm when we saw what happened.
Especially when Ishu tried to take a paper towel to clean it up.
Sweet boy. He makes all the mess and makes me oh-so tired, but NONE OF IT is intentional. And I have to keep reminding myself of it. (And also probably put the whiteboard markers out of reach).
Now I’m sippin’ my coffee on the kitchen counter while he’s entertaining himself with the Bluetooth speaker. This was something I purchased for myself a while back. I’m pretty sure it was a Groupon deal. (That’s how old it is. Back when I was still purchasing things through Groupon).
And I never got rid of it, which is surprising. And I’m SO GLAD I didn’t. Because it’s been such a source of entertainment for this little guy. He can sit there for so long, holding the speaker, listening to music. He recently learned how to switch songs or pause the music and he gasps and looks up at me as if to say, “Did you see what I just did? I’m so powerful!”
We’re also trying out some audiobooks. Mostly Little Blue Truck. It’s his favorite. He always screams, “DOUBLE DECKER BUS” when we’re out on a walk and he sees a bus. (From Little Blue Truck Leads the Way). He also points to every yellow car and says, “TA-TSEE CAB” (taxi cab!). I guess our next lesson is to teach him about Uber and Lyft. Ha.
And now I’m going to try to pull out some activities so he stops asking me for Curious George Monkey.
Hope you all have a wonderful Friday eve!
