GOOD MORNING!
Like I mentioned in this post, yesterday was Ankur’s first day of his third year of residency. And, already, I am loving the predictability of it all.
Because it’s all out-patient, there are scheduled times when the clinic is closed, obviously. So, even if he has to stay a little later to finish notes and what not, it still feels like we will have SOME idea of what to expect with his schedule.
And today? Today he doesn’t even have to go in! His attending is on vacation this week and they had no scheduled appointments, so he’s gonna be doing a bit of reading at home.
Which means this mama gets to go do OTF first thing in the morning again.
I could get used to this.
I WON’T.
Because I know, once I do, things will up and change again. But I WILL enjoy it for right now.
Anyway, in addition to getting back into the groove of things with OrangeTheory, I’m also trying to work on some home projects. We recently renewed our lease for two more years. Which will make this place the longest place I’ve ever lived since living at home with my parents before college.
Crazy.
I always talk about being ‘functional’ over cozy and cute. And I think it’s because when you’re married to someone in medicine, you’re moving around constantly. So what’s the POINT of putting shit on the wall when you’re gonna have to take it off again in 8 months?
BUT NOW?
Now there’s shit on the wall.
This is currently my favorite corner of our apartment.
I love it.
I also ordered a few other things from Etsy so will share those here when they come.
THINGS ON THE WALL!
Feeling like such a grown-up.
