My parents are here! They got in yesterday evening and I gave them the grand tour of Harrogate. (Which took us all of 20 minutes.) My dad is loving the greenery around here so we’ll probably head out for a hike after breakfast this morning.
Having them here is, by far, the thing I’m loving most this week! But there are still several other things that are making me happy right now!
As always, please chime in below in the comments section of this post and share something you’re loving this week too. I always enjoy reading your comments!

Overnight Goodies from Family
Since moving here, we’ve received a number of packages from family and friends. And we are so incredibly grateful for them all. We don’t get to go out to eat around here very much and, when we do, we’re generally disappointed. (Probably because we’re not big on BBQ or fried food). But, having these packages are such a nice treat. Thank you family for all the goodies!

Essential Oils
I feel like I have become the magical healer at work. I’m the go-to person when someone has a migraine. Or when someone’s neck is in a lot of pain. Or when someone has severe allergies. Everyone is loving these oils right now and I love that they’re working. It made me fall in love with them all over again. I now have a full carrying case of oils that I take with me wherever I go. (In addition to the box of oils sitting on my chest of drawers).

S’More Brownies
They look nothing like the way they do on Pinterest. Obviously. But the added component of marshmallows + graham crackers to brownie mix is unbeatable. I made these for a co-workers birthday earlier this week and I will be making them again real soon. (Hopefully, the next time I make them they’ll be prettier to photograph).

Student Advocate Association
One of the things I was most worried about when moving to Harrogate was leaving my network of friends and my social life behind in San Jose. While I miss my friends an incredible amount (and am so excited to be reunited with some of them in a few weeks!), it’s been really nice to have this organization to meet other spouses. Everyone is going through similar things with our husbands in school right now so it’s nice to have a shared experience and people to share it with! It’s also great to have people to go on weekend adventures with while the husbands are holed up in their rooms studying.

Ah, I love that your parents are in town! I can’t wait to see mine. Dad will be here for three weeks (yay retirement!) and then my mom is coming for a week. Yay!

So nice of your loved ones to send you care packages. My family moved to a new state last year and I remember how stressful the move was. We didn’t want to do a lot of eating out, either. It’s always good to have family/friend support when you make a big move.
