Good morning!
I was up a few times last night, so I’m still over here trying to get my eyes to fully open.
It’s officially my last day of work so, from here on out, I’m going to have all the time in the world to nap. So, I’m not too disappointed about my not-so-great night of sleep. Lots of time to make up for that. 🙂
Ankur is working mańana but he’s off on Sunday, which is nice. Cause we’ll get him for Father’s Day!
I gotta get this little monkey ready for school, but before I do, I want to share a list of things I’m loving lately! Let me preface this post by saying I have been resting my back as much as possible. So I’ve had lots of time to watch movies and shows. So that’ll be a bulk of what I’m loving this week. Ha.
The Whale
Auntie Bella recommended this movie to us a few months ago. And it did not disappoint. The acting was phenomenal and I got emotional more than once during the movie. Especially as someone who feels extremely limited right now physically. Just have your tissue box on hand. All the tears.
Shawshank Redemption
I am late to the party on this one. It was my first time watching it. Ankur’s been trying to get me to watch it for a while (it’s in his top 10 movies). And, boy oh boy, was it great. I should probably listen to his recommendations more often. He was, somehow, correct that I would be a big Marvel fan if I gave it a chance. So he probably knows what he’s talking about.
Golden Kiwis
I can’t get enough of these kiwis right now. They taste like candy. If they didn’t require cutting and peeling, I’d probably eat the whole dang box in one sitting.
Ice Cream Dates after School
Twice this week, Ankur’s pulled out the car to bring me along for Ishu’s pick-up from school. And, since we’ve got the car out already, we’ll drive a little out and get ice cream. Earlier this week, it was Forever Yogurt. Yesterday, we went to Jeni’s. I love summer evenings so much.
Ted Lasso
I’m also late to the party with this one. We finally finished Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and needed a new show to watch together. And this is the one we chose. I wasn’t sure if Ankur would be on board, but it definitely seems like a show that both of us will enjoy. We are only three episodes in, but I’m already in love.
Resident of the Month
If you didn’t see me blast this on FB or Insta, here it is one more time. I am loving that Ankur got chosen as resident of the month. Because it also feels like he’s ‘family member of the month’ around here. Between doing pick-ups and drop-offs and pretty much everything for Ishu that requires a lot of bending and stretching and kneeling (which, with a toddler, is pretty much EVERYTHING), I have so much appreciation for him. The fact that he can accommodate residents and be a team player at the rehab facility. And then come home and be a team player for his injured wife and his loud, gotta-be-everywhere-and-touch-everything toddler. We love him the most.
And that’s it for now!
Play along in the comments and share one thing you’re loving this week. 🙂
