Good evening and happy Friday eve!
In case you didn’t follow the countdown I’ve had going on since August, Ankur is BACK from all his traveling rotations and now – after 7 months of living apart – we can resume being roommates.
Thank goodness.
That is definitely the thing I’m loving the most this week. But, to carry on with Thursday tradition, here are a few other things I’m loving this week.
Babymoon Booked!
Ankur and I booked a babymoon! Sort of. It’s just a weekend away to celebrate him being back home. And Valentines Day. And baby on the way and life turning upside down!
I’ve spent the last few months going to different places, thinking to myself, “I wish Ankur could experience this.” And NOW HE CAN. Because he’s back.
The Daily Page Notepad
I am definitely someone who prefers pen-and-paper to-do lists (mostly so I can have that completely satisfied feeling when I get something done and get to cross it off). So when I saw this daily notepad on Etsy, I had to buy it. Each page helps break down my daily to-dos and tasks and it keeps me organized. It also just helpful to remind me to prioritize the bigger things that need to get done and not just the easy things that are quick to complete.
Gregory Dragon is Just the Same
This amazing dad wrote a children’s book to help his kid with anxiety. His kiddo was having a hard time fitting in. “He’s tall for his age, skinny, and has a birthmark, all of which had him feeling insecure and isolated,” Sullivan said. He wanted to create something that would help his son embrace and celebrate his unique characteristics. This book is definitely one I want to keep permanently on my shelf.
Baby Juna is Here!
About two years ago, I got to meet Jen and Juan’s baby girl, Ila Luna, for the first time. I fell in love with her immediately and demanded that they make another baby ASAP. Jen responded with, “Okay. Pregnancy pact?” And that’s exactly what happened. Two years later, Jen got pregnant with her second little girl. And I followed shortly after.
Well, Juna Sol is HERE and she’s the calmest, cuddliest little girl and I’m so happy I got to snuggle her shortly after she made her way into this world.
Wedding Pictures
I know it’s been nearly two weeks since the wedding, but I just can’t get over all the wonderful memories we have from the weekend. My sister was the most beautiful bride and we were the funnest bridal party. Can’t wait ’til all the other photos and videos start rollin’ in!
A Teacher’s Love
Earlier today, I posted a picture of my kiddos’ red hot Cheetos fingers on Insta stories. This kid was one of my old babies from Rocketship. Well, shortly after I posted it, one of my former co-workers from Rocketship messaged me and said, “That reminds me of (student name)’s hand.” And it just made me giggle. Because when you’re a teacher, you just know all the little things about your kids. Their insides, their outsides, their Cheetos fingers. Forever and always. That sh*t just doesn’t disappear because they grow up. When you’re our kid, you’re our kid for life.
Anyway, it’s 64 degrees outside right now and I need to take advantage of that before the sun disappears. So I’m off. But please play along in the comments and share one thing you’re loving this week! 🙂
Questions of the Day:
- Do you prefer paper and pencil to-do lists or electronic lists?
- What’s the temperature like in your area of the world?
- What is one thing you’re loving this week?
