Good morning, good morning.
Still dark outside, but I’m feeling like one of those mamas who intentionally wakes up before their kids to get their day started. You know, one of those mamas who sets their alarm to get up earlier than everyone so they can have some time to themselves?
Only my alarm clock was my baby.
But he fell back asleep.
So here I am, sitting in the living room, and it’s dark and quiet and so so nice.
I can’t believe it’s already Friday. This week has been wonderful. Aside from yesterday and all the random thunderstorming, it’s been beautiful outside and we have definitely taken advantage.
Our little neighborhood shows UP to the playground and it’s so nice to stay out ’til the sun goes down.
On Tuesday, we pushed it and the hanger monsters came in hard on our walk to dinner. So, Wednesday, we packed park sandwiches and ate ’em on the grass. Allowing us to take advantage of the perfect weather while also keeping the hanger monsters at bay. Which meant one less thing to do when we got home.
It’s becoming clear that Riyu fits very well into this sandwich-loving family. Every time we’re eating sandwiches, you can see his little mouth say, “Muh, muh, muh” as he attempts to ask for more bites. HE LOVES ’em just as much – if not more – than we do. Ha.
Other good things from this week:
This morning, I’m going to Coffee Club to meet some other fun people in the community! I really do love it here so much. Sometimes it’s easy to forget when the gloomy days blur together and your family is so so far away. But, this week, I’ve fallen in love with this place all over again.
Now off I go to get this day started. So grateful, so grateful, so grateful.
(Also, happy birthday to Ishu and Riyu’s Dadi. It’s way too early for FaceTimes to California, but there will be lots of that today too. How are we already in May?!).
Happy FRIDAY!
