This is a picture of what happens when your son takes over an hour to fall asleep and you’re stuck in the room with him while your husband attempts to open up a bottle of wine.
I’m not sure Ankur knows that some wine bottles are twist off. HAHA.
After an hour, we swapped places and Ankur was able to put him to bed in just a few minutes.
Today is Ankur’s day off and we wanted to put Ishaan to bed early last night and have a couple hours to ourselves. And I’m pretty sure Ishaan could sense it because he was like, “No, no, NO.”
So, yeah. I was in there with him while Ankur ate dinner. And then he was in there while I ate mine.
And I was too tired to drink the wine with the punctured lid.
We watched a half episode of Shameless, the Lakers and Warriors game, and then I passed out early.
And then this is how we woke up this morning.
Now Ishaan and I are going to take a walk to let Ankur sleep in a little. (He has been waking up at 3:00am with only one day off each week, so I think it’d be nice for him to get to sleep for a few more hours!).
Hope you all have a happy happy Thursday!
I’m going to go douse myself in coffee.

Sometimes I miss mine being little and then I read things like this and nah— I’m good! Haha! I definitely don’t miss the nights when they don’t want to sleep, or wake up a lot, when you just want to be an adult and do your own thing. It’s so hard. Mine are almost 16, 13, 6, and almost 5 so it does get better. Next time just get a really long straw for the wine- no judgment. 😉

Bahahahah, one less dish to wash, am I right?
Good to know it gets better! You’ve got FOUR! I think you need the wine and long straw more than I do!

Lololol I’ve totally done that before with the wine bottles! Also I’m sorry for sleepless nights but hope things settle into an easier routine for you all soon!
