Good morning, good morning!
I spent the first half of the day yesterday talking to both my mamas and my sister-in-law who texted, FTed, and left me a Marco Polo because she KNEW the distress I was feeling. Ha.
Thankfully, Ishu’s teacher uploaded some pictures earlier in the day, so I could go about my day with a little more peace. Knowing he wasn’t still standing in the gross motor room with tears streaming down his face.
And then when I picked the little monkey up, he was SMILING. He was sitting down and eating his snack and saw me before I spotted him.
“Mommy!” he shouted as he scrambled to clean up his snack. And then he ran to pick up his work, grab his water bottle, and came running out the door. WITH A SMILE ON HIS FACE.
When we walked back home together, he said, “Mama, it’s not SCARY. Miss Gloria is NICE.”
And then he proceeded to tell me some of the Spanish words he learned that day. (He is now in a Spanish immersion class where the teacher speaks to them strictly in Spanish).
Last night, at dinner, he kept asking us, “What’s _____ in Spanish?”
So he’s got some exciting things to tell Ms. Gloria today. That he had “arroz rojo” and “pollo” for dinner. And his personal fav (to say and to drink), “limonada.”
This morning, he woke up and he said, “We’re going to Ms. Gloria’s class in 10 minutes.” (He always wakes up around 6am and I usually say, “We’re leaving the house in 2 hours.” And, naturally, he thinks that 10 minutes is longer than 2 hours. So even though he’s not as upset about going to school, he’s still trying to prolong the at-home experience. Ha.
Okay, going to go get this little guy ready.
Thanks everyone for the love and support you’ve given us as we make this transition. I can’t believe parents do this EVERY YEAR with new teachers. HOW?!

Fingers Cross….. It will get better every day.
SO nice to see his Big Happy Smile.
Interesting that he’s going to learn Spanish in Ms. GLoria’s class.
Can you and Ankur try and teach him a few Hindi words/sentences every day in his Home Class:):
God Bless you all. Proud of you.
