We’ve had quite the eventful morning over here.
And it’s not even 7:30am yet.
I hesitate to put this out there because there are many mamas, aunties, and uncles reading this. But, hey, it’s life. And I have never been one to shy about sharing the good, the bad, the poopy.
Our life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies and children’s museums and parks and playgrounds.
Sometimes it’s standing outside of Target desperately waiting for it to open. So you can get spot cleaner (cause you bled through your sheets onto your mattress), and carpet cleaner (because your child escaped from a diaper change and pooped on the rug), and Magic Erasers (because your child then stepped in said poop and then somehow there were stains on the wall).
WHATEVER.
It’s life.
It is sometimes messy and dirty and smelly and gross.
But, let’s just hope the day goes up from here, yeah?
I’m heading out in a bit to get my fingerprints done. (I realize now that I haven’t shared here about this new job I’m starting in September and I will definitely do that soon!)
And then the plan is to go to the Wiggleworms morning concert, an architecture cruise tour with my mama and papa, and then possibly a stop at the Children’s Museum to show them what all the fuss is about.
Now, I’m about to sign off because this child seems to be needing my attention. Apparently cleaning off poop from everything wasn’t enough attention this morning. I guess he needs some more. 🙂
Be back Monday with all the fun snapshots of our weekend!

Aww I get it. Motherhood isn’t always rainbows and sprinkles and maybe that’s the beauty of it. I mean a bit less poop is always nice too but it is part of the deal, right?? Your weekend sounds magical. Enjoy the poop out of it (too soon??). Can’t wait to see photos!

Parenthood isn’t always rainbows and butterflies, but that’s what makes it so beautiful. It’s the little things like a weekend away with your partner that make motherhood so special. So enjoy every moment, even the ones covered in poop!
