Hello!
Don’t worry – I didn’t have a 10-day hangover from spending the weekend in Vegas. I just didn’t have Internet access during the wedding. Well I could have paid $50 for wifi…but I wasn’t willing to do that when we were barely ever in the hotel room. So my cousin, Anku’s, wedding has come and gone and I have hundreds of pictures to upload.
But first, let’s recap the rest of Joy’s Bachelorette Party in Vegas! =)
We left off on Friday. At 5AM. (I’m still boasting about that almost 2 weeks later..)
Everyone slept in until about noon. I, on the other hand, thought it would be a brilliant idea to wake up around 8AM. I met up with my bestest friend in the world, Gina, who happened to move to Vegas a few months ago.
You’ve seen Gina around the blog before, but side note about Gina:
September 2004. It was move-in day at UCLA and my mom filled up an SUV with most of my belongings and drove an hour north to move me into Rieber Hall. My mom ran into the building to get a rolly-cart contraption while I stayed in the car and people-watched. I noticed some ‘bitchy-looking girl” sitting on a bench and secretly hoped that she wasn’t living in the same building as me. Lo and behold, she was. And she was ON.MY.FLOOR. That bitchy girl was Gina. That bitchy girl soon became my floormate of 2 years, roommate of 4 years, and my very favorite friend. <——- Her first impression of me, by the way, was the “loser who was too afraid to leave her room and socialize.” I really have the worst first impressions of people. We went to brunch and visited her parents. She also spoon-fed me some Pepto Bismol and, by the time I got back to the hotel room, I felt as good as new! =)
The girls were up, showered, and changing into their bachelorette party tanks. We ended up going to Margaritaville – which was right next door to our hotel (didn’t even have to step outside in the 117 degree heat!)
We ordered burgers and waited what seemed like 6 hours to get our food. After lunch, we made our way to Miracle Mile.
I can’t believe it took me an entire day to get a Fat Tuesday. So unlike me.
We also met up with Greg and Jen who happened to be in Vegas for the same weekend. They were honorary bachelorette party members.
When we got back, Cassie was determined to blow up the balloons we brought.
But it ended up popping in her face.
So we left the balloons limp.
I hope that isn’t supposed to be symbolic of Joy’s future.
We didn’t have enough time to go out to dinner and get ready to go out at night so we ordered nachos from Margaritaville and a pizza from the food court in the hotel.
Classy ladies.
It was another late night, but I gave in and wore my flats on Saturday so it wasn’t as painful.
It was a great weekend with wonderful girls and it made me even more excited about Andrew and Joy’s wedding in Hawaii!! =)
