It’s the month of gratefulness.
This week, I’ve been a little more sluggish than usual. I’m not sure whether I should chalk that up to no coffee or just being oh-so-exhausted at the end of each day with not enough time to catch up on life or sleep.
But, in the spirit of gratefulness, I’ve been ending each day with a 5-minute practice where I think of a few things – both big and small- that I’m thankful for. And, more often than not, I end my days feeling happier and more grateful for some of those challenging moments in my day.
Getting to see this guy yesterday definitely upped my gratefulness game. Every time I see him, I’m reminded that he is a big part of why I do what I do.
I’m also feeling pretty grateful for the fall weather. Reminds me that the holidays are near and family time will be abundant!
Grateful for moments like this – that have me stop what I’m doing and bring me back to the reason I do this job.
And, per usual, grateful that we’re one day closer to the weekend. A 3-day weekend at that.
Have a good one!
Question of the Day:
- Do you have a mindfulness/gratitude practice built into your day?
- What are you thankful for today?

I love this idea! Each day I do some stretching before bed and take a few moments to focus on what I’m grateful for and what my body did for me that day. I actually look forward to it now! I love that you take 5 whole minutes, I really want to try that out!
