Aside from the slow-pace living in good ol’ Harrogate, Tennessee, I can’t help but think about how quickly these past few months have gone. So much has happened. So much has changed.
Last night, while we were hanging out on the couch, it hit me (again).
We are married.
Sometimes it feels like we’re playing “House.” Other times, it feels so natural – like we’ve been doing this our whole lives. But in every one of those moments, I feel so grateful to have married this guy.
So, while being extra sentimental last night, I scrolled through our wedding pictures on my phone and came across a bunch of text messages that I screenshotted. Some of them made me laugh out loud – more than once – so I’m bringing back “Text Message Tuesdays” and sharing them here today.
Texting Nikku to tell him the news:
Randy jokes that I will forever be a child because I need to add milk or cream to my coffee.
Jen and I in disbelief the day before it all happened.
My Papa Albert congratulating us during one of his retired happy hours:
The White/Brown crew at the wedding:
Jen introducing Indian traditions in her classroom:
And, of course, my extra long name change in Greggy’s phone:
I’m feeling all sorts of gratitude this morning. For getting to marry Ankur. But also for having all those people – and many, many more – in our lives to celebrate with.
Happy Tuesday!
Questions of the Day:
- What are you grateful for this morning?
- What’s the last image or text you screenshotted?

This is amazing. Having seen the behind the scenes of an Indian wedding, and all the pomp and circumstance and layers and people that are involved, I love how you all kept it to you (but still honored certain traditions!). I know I am late to the party (and trust that I will be going back to find out more!) but congratulations!

Aww, I love this post, and am definitely going to be looking forward to more Text Message Tuesdays in the future! I screenshot a lot of texts too, sometimes for practical purposes (e.g. I need to remember something they told me), but usually just because there was something amusing in there. I’ll bet it’s going to take some getting used to, but super congrats to you! <3

Thanks for sharing your texts from all over the world (thats what it seemed like as I was reading them).
Ankur marrying Kobe hahahahahah.
Brought back memories from that Friday morning when we all woke up knowing that we only had less than 24 hours to change the engagement party into a wedding party.
Well as I have said it before ……… It actually felt like God came down and held our hands and walked with us on Friday and Saturday and made it all happen so effortlessly and seamlessly.
Amen.
