Hello, hello!
Our afternoon trip to the winery became an all-day adventure so I’m not exactly prepped for tomorrow in any way. Surprisingly, I don’t have any of that Sunday anxiety I usually experience. Maybe it’s because we don’t have kids for another two weeks.
I packed us a bag of snacks and we left for Picchetti Winery around noon. I threw on my fancy purple “Ray Bans” that Joy gave us in our bridesmaid bags. And I’m not typically (or ever) a girl that accessorizes well, but I was pretty proud of my purple shades, purple belt, and purple sandals. Except I didn’t even get a picture of everything all together.
But don’t even worry. Because I love how cool I felt for accessorizing, I already have plans to re-wear this outfit this week. Shhhh. Don’t tell the people I work with. Embarrassing.
We picked up our shipments of wine (after we sampled them all first, of course).
We got a Sangiovese and a Tempranillo in this month’s shipment.
We were expecting to hear live music, but they actually stopped doing that on weekends because the neighbors complained. Which is completely stupid because there’s a shooting range below the winery and I hear that BS all the time. Maybe the neighbors should spend some more time complaining about that.
So, instead, we enjoyed a small little picnic and watched the little kids run in and out of their make-shift playground.
We also opened up a bottle of wine that I bought while on our bike tour in Healdsburg.
Delicious.
Around 3:30, we went to Islands for a super early dinner.
I liked their Beach Rule. Makes me miss Hawaii.
I ordered the Hoisin bowl with no pineapple. Because no fruit should ever be in any rice bowl of mine.
After dinner, we went to a $5 movie theatre in Cupertino and watched The Internship. The theatre was definitely run-down and we could barely fit into our seats.
But it got the job done and was a nice end to the weekend!
As I was driving home though, I realized that I was not physically active at all this weekend. It’s so easy to be active when you’re on summer vacation or in Hawaii. You don’t think twice about getting up and moving. You just do it. But I need to take a more proactive approach as the school year starts up. I know my weeks will be busy and it’s tempting to have lazy, laid-back weekends. I’m going to start the 5AM workouts again – starting tomorrow. So, my friends, I am going to attempt to be productive for an hour and try to be in bed by 10PM. Good night! =)

Running is such a regular part of my life that I don’t even think twice. I get up, run, then go on with the rest of my day. If I didn’t do it early, though, it probably wouldn’t get done!

I aim to get an hour of TRX done early Saturday before the fun {and errands} start. This way I know I’m done for the day.
Oh, and we totally have to meet up halfway for wine!

If I know I have a busy weekend, I will usually plan one day as my rest day. Otherwise, I just get up earlier and get the workout done. I’m used to early morning workouts, so it works for me.
Looks like a fun weekend. The wine looks amazing.

One of my favourite things to do on a Saturday/Sunday is have friends meet up for a long run early in the morning ( depending on what people are training for or their abilities they meet up at different points of the run) and then going out for coffee so we can can all get caught up.
