Good morning, good morning!
The little monkey of the house is still sleeping. Likely because he went to bed at 10pm.
Whoops.
Ankur ended up working ’til 9 yesterday. And Ishu and I were out later in the evening, picking up our new plant!
Someone in the community was giving it away for free and I jumped at the chance of owning this big, beautiful plant. It’s 6 TIMES THE SIZE OF ISHU.
We named it Zilla.
We’ve lived here for almost a year now, but have kept it pretty simple in terms of our furniture and decorative pieces/plants. But we just renewed our lease for two years. This is the longest place we will have lived since we got married!
So, even though it’s not our permanent home, I’m itching to set it up more fully. Like, we’d been using kitchen chairs as makeshift bedside tables for a year. Which, I guess is fine and functional to some degree. But it’s nice that our new bedside tables have drawers that I can keep my things in. Instead of piling it atop a chair, only to get knocked down by a toddler, y’know?
Anyway, I think I’m finally going to tackle some projects around here.
First one being this massive plant that I am going to have to figure out how to take care of and keep alive.
Wish me luck!

Small flies get attracted to plants. They could bite hard.
Keep a spray handy to kill the flies.
Enjoy the plant as it will bring more Oxygen into your apartment.
At the same time be careful of the allergies one can get from indoor plants.
