Yesterday was so good.
Sunshine, high 60s, hours and hours of time spent outside, a solar eclipse.
I could cry thinking about it.
It felt so nice.
SO SO NICE.
I met a friend for coffee and, instead of staying at the coffee shop, we opted for a walk outside. Riyu loved it so much (especially now that we’ve got his stroller seat facing out. He loves taking it all in!).
We picked Ishu up early from school and walked over to the Navy Pier to watch the eclipse.
It was definitely not like our 2017 experience in Tennessee. But still glad we got to experience that together.
And then, afterward, we hung out at the park ’til the sun went down.
The big kids scooting around in circles. The babies babbling and grabbing at each others faces.
SO MUCH HAPPY.
Bonus points because both kids were so tired that it took them seconds to fall asleep at night. Seconds.
Anyway, what a day.
What a special day.
And that’s saying a lot considering it was Monday!

Truly a special day with the family.
A memorable day….. you got to experience the eclipse with the babies. When the next eclipse happens these babies will be grown up boys. 👏👏🙏🙏💖💖
Heart filled with gratitude.
I love ishu & Riyus ice cream moustache. 😂😂
