According to my Fitbit, I got over 8 hours of sleep right now. And, according to my body, I FEEL IT.
I have been falling asleep with Riyu each night and I think that’s been the most helpful in getting the maximum hours of sleep. And then Dadi comes in here every morning and scoops Riyu up which helps me get the maximum hours of REST. Ha.
I feel so very lucky.
Yesterday, we went to Tracy to visit Naniji and Arun Mama for his birthday. And, on the car ride home, both kids were passed out in the back. Mom and I were laughing because it’s always been a theme over the past four years. That whenever we are at Dadi’s house, Ishu get T-I-R-E-D. And now Riyu.
Whether they’re playing Uno All Wild or building forts or just walking around grabbing remotes off every surface, by the end of the day, these kiddos are exhausted and sleep HARD.
I also think that I was ready to sleep IMMEDIATELY when we got home because Arun Mama has two cats and I took an allergy pill while we were there that may have made me real loopy doopy.
Regardless, I’m well rested. And my kids are too. And we get to do it all over again today.
There’s storytime at the library and if we can get some outdoor time today before the rain starts later this week, that’d be great too.
I always credit the midwest for having more fall colors than we do out here in California. But if we’re comparing the neighborhood we live in in Chicago to the suburbs of San Ramon, I think San Ramon is holding its own. The colors are SO bright and beautiful right now. I think we definitely need to go for a walk under these trees.
Okay, I’m off. The bells are clinging, the kids are laughing, and I’m ready to join the fun.
Have a good one!
