A few days ago, Ishu’s Dadi took him to Foxtrot, a market across the street, for some breakfast tacos.
While they were eating, he saw a mama pushing a stroller that was adapted for three kids.
He was fascinated by it. And said something to his Dadi along the lines of wanting a stroller that fits six kids.
To which Dadi responded, “Six kids? You want mama to have six kids.”
I wasn’t there. I don’t know how the conversation actually went down.
But when they came home to share the story about how Ishu wanted a stroller for six kids (which presumably meant that he wanted four more siblings), I laughed.
I looked down at him and said, “WHAT? 6 kids! No way.”
“WHY?” he asked (his favorite word in the world right now).
“That’s a lot of time having a baby in my belly!” I responded.
“Wellllllllllll….” he started to say, “You just have to do it one at a time,” as he rolled his eyes to the side as if having six kids was the easiest thing in the world to do and I just simply didn’t understand how to do it.
But, no, to Ishu’s dismay, we will not be having six kids.
Anyway, the household is still sleeping and, even though I feel pretty dang tired, I’m enjoying this quiet time to myself.
Ha. Just as I typed that sentence, I heard Ishu wake up. MAN, THESE KIDS JUST KNOW.
Okay, have a great hump day!

DIVYA, kids say the darndest things, don’t they? Ishu’s desire for a stroller that fits six kids is adorable. Your little one’s perspective on expanding the family is both sweet and comical. Enjoy the precious moments, even if they come with early wake-up calls! 😄👶🌞
