4-day work weeks are both challenging and wonderful. All at the same time.
Pros: You only have to work 4 days. Duh.
Cons: You have to fit everything in to four days. And then you’re constantly GO-GO-GO. And then you accidentally drop your [already broken] phone, kick it off the side of the 2-story building, and watch as it faceplants into the parking lot.
I really, really don’t deserve nice things.
I wish “I work at a SCHOOL” would be a valid excuse that would work in my favor when negotiating with the insurance company. It’s such a legitimate excuse. They don’t even know. Ugh.
But, the universe doesn’t hate me all that much because my new phone was already on it’s way to me yesterday. UPS delivered only a few hours after my phone faceplanted. Perfect timing.
The rest of the day whizzed by and, before I knew it, it was time for dismissal. I stayed at work later than usual (more because I wanted to set up my new phone and less because I was actually working). And then, at around 6:45, I drove over to Janet’s for Women’s Circle.
Also perfect timing.
I know I’ve said this before – multiple times, in fact – but it’s been so nice to have this monthly check-in. A forum to vent our hearts out and, also, hear what everyone else has been up to over the past few weeks. Life will always be hectic. But there are things like this that force me to slow down and really be present.
Pardon the blurry food picture. The old shattered phone doesn’t work all that well. 😉
Halfway through the week! Have a wonderful day!
