Riyu had his first Sensory Art class yesterday! It felt so strange to be back in the space I spent so much time with Ishu with another kid.
I mean, I know this “other” kid is mine. 🙂
But it still felt weird to not have my hopping, boppin’ 1-year old Ishu with me.
Ishu and I took the pre-school prep class here with Ms. Mel. And she’s the instructor for this class too. Which feels so fun to get to do this with her again.
Ms. Mel made “slime” out of chia seeds, flour, water, and food coloring. And the babies loved getting to squish, spread, roll, and taste it!
But I think Riyu’s favorite part was the bath time at the end.
I love the whole concept behind this class and think it’s so creative and cool (and I also love that I don’t have to be creative or clean up a massive mess at home. AND he gets a bath out of it. Ha).
Win win win.
Okay, I’m going to go put this little monkey to sleep and then I get to READ. Because the suitcases are put away. And I’m on spring break this week. And mama gets some down time. WAHOO!
Sandy says
Wahooo!! Down time for mama.
Whoever came up with this kind of class is brilliant. 👏👏👏🙏🙏
