It used to feel like there was no big distinction between weekends and weekdays. Because Ankur used to have to work most weekends. But, now?
Now, when Friday hits, it feels so EXCITING! To know that he has time off so we can all spend time together (and I can also have some time alone!).
This weekend, our Nugget arrived! So, early Saturday morning, Ishu and Papa played with that while I went to the chiropractor and got a massage. By the time I got back, they had both tired themselves out. So they went down for a nap while I went and got my eyebrows done and picked up lunch from Lyfe Kitchen.
As much as I love my little sidekick, it was nice to hand him off to papa for most of the day to do things that are a little harder to do when he’s demanding my attention.
When he woke up from his nap, we went down to the pool for a little bit.
And then, once we got home, I made this skillet that my friend, Katy, shared with me. I love a good, simple recipe that doesn’t have a zillion steps to it.
Yesterday, we let Ankur sleep in a little bit and Ishu and I went to get breakfast tacos at Foxtrot (a market across the street).
And then we packed up and went to the suburbs for Ishu’s first official playdate. My friend and old roomie, BethyV, connected me with her childhood BFF, Talia. So Ankur and Ishu and I hung out with her and her husband and her sweet 1-year old girl. Ishu’s favorite part was playing with Riley, their cute golden doodle.
I wish I got some pictures of that cuteness, but I left my phone in my bag for most of the day. (Which also isn’t such a bad thing, y’know?)
Now we’re ready for another week of mama and Ishu adventures!
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

What a fun weekend! I’m sure it’s nice to have some “me time” over the weekends! That’s great you had a lovely time at the playdate. Hopefully it will lead to some more.
