Happy happy Monday!
Birds are chirping, sun is out. Another beautiful day in Chicago over here.
We had a great weekend. Here’s a quick recap before the morning tornado begins!
Friday
I went to Coffee Club in the AM and then, Ankur was off for the afternoon, so the two of us went to Robert’s for lunch. After, we went to Ishu’s PT conference and then ended the day at the park!
Saturday
Ishu and I got a little bit of outdoor time before the rain started. We went to get mama some coffee and then hung out at the stairs near the park, studying all the roly polies.
Once the rain started, we went back inside. The two little boys played in Ishu’s room. Ishu also played some virtual Uno with the cousins. And, for a good hour, Dadi babysat the kids through FaceTime. Ha.
Ishu set the phone up on the windowsill and was chatting with her the whole time, showing off his drawings. Ankur and I were watching them on the security camera while laying on the living room couch and it was just so darn cute.
Thank you, Dadi, for the grandmother babysitter services. We can’t WAIT to see you IN JUST THREE DAYS!
Sunday
We woke up early Sunday morning and took the bus over to the Lincoln Park Zoo. We had signed Ishu up to participate in the Kids Course. After that Tiny Turkey Trot experience he had in San Ramon, we knew he’d love doing something a little longer. And this race was IN the zoo so it meant we’d get to do the race and then hang out with the animals.
It was also a pretty short course. Bear crawls and balance beams and crawling through noodle tunnels. And it ended with a medal and ice cream. He chose mochi ice cream and I’m pretty sure that was his favorite part of the weekend. Ha.
We hung out at the zoo for a bit. Saw a few animals and hung out at the Family Zoo treehouse part for a little before heading out to lunch.
The four of us went to RJ Grunts for lunch and then met up with some friends at the playground across the street.
And then took the bus back home and parked it at home for the rest of the evening.
And, also, over the weekend, I finished this book and started this one. And, over the week, Ankur and I watched the movies 21 and X-Men: The Last Stand.
OKAY, I am off. The kids are up and the tornado begins.
HAVE A GOOD ONE!
