Good morning! I’m keeping this short since we’ll be watching the eclipse later today. So I need to be extra productive during the first half of the day before we pick Ishu up from school.
It’s back to work this week and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have the Sunday Scaries last night. I did. I have loved this past week and I’m so looking forward to the summer months!
Quick recap of our weekend!
On Friday, we had one of Ishu’s good friends over for a playdate after school. If you follow my Eat Teach Blog FB page, you may have read my text to his mama sharing a cute exchange we had with one another.
For dinner, we ordered Jimmy’s Pizza. We loved it. Though we did feel like rebels, ordering NY style pizza in Chicago.
On Saturday, the sun was shining so bright that – even though it was still cold outside – I was inspired to pull out some summer clothes.
We love a cute romper.
Then, Ishu and I walked over to the park to meet some of his buddies.
Lots of climbing to tire the kid out.
He napped for a bit and then we decided to head downstairs to the pool.
On Sunday, we played Ice Cream Man.
Ishu and I went to the Harold Washington Library for a fun Family Fest event.
We returned books. Got some new ones.
We found our magical paper in the recycling bin.
And the kids went to bed early, which gave Ankur and I a peaceful dinner with a side of The Office.
Okay, I’m off to go be a productive polly.
Happy eclipse day! Wear your glasses!
