Good morning and happy Monday!

I am up before the two monkeys of the house, so figured I’d hop on here and share some scenes from the weekend. I didn’t snap a ton of pictures, but we had a really good weekend. (And I got an extended weekend since my school was out for “Mid-Winter Break” on Thursday and Friday. It’s the ultimate break when *I* have the day off work, but Ankur has to work and Ishu has to go to school. Ha. I spent most of those two days in bed reading).

This weekend, we went to Jurassic Quest at Navy Pier. It was pretty similar to the Dino and Dragon Stroll we did back in the summer. But with more bounce houses. They also had an arts & crafts section where you could build your own dinosaur using half a paper plate. So that was a nice little souvenir we got to take home.

Ishu was 95% really excited and 5% scared every time one of the dinosaurs moved.

My friend, Genell, from Harrogate was in town this weekend with her wife and two kids. And so, we had them over on Saturday for a pizza playdate. They live in Michigan and have been wanting to take a weekend trip to Chicago before they move at the end of Rachel’s residency year. I haven’t seen Genell since, well, the good ol’ Harrogate days (pre-babies for the both of us!). But I’m so grateful for things like Marco Polo that keep us connected!

And then yesterday was a typical Sunday. A trip to Costco and lots of laundry and lazying around.

I was hoping to write a few reports this weekend to make this week a little lighter. But, y’know, the intentions never line up with the actions when it comes to doing work. Ha. That’s always been the case on the weekends. I JUST DON’T HAVE IT IN ME.

But that’s fine.

I enjoyed my weekend thoroughly.
