Good morning, good morning!
I’m sitting on the couch while Riyu is playing in his activity center and knocking off all the toys. So we’ll see how long this lasts.
I wish I had a video of how this little dance goes.
I plop every last toy on his activity center and he pushes them all off before I’ve even taken 4 steps away from him. And then he stares up at me as if to say, “Well, now you have to come back, Mama.”
I answer to two little humans for most of the day.
So this weekend was nice because Ankur and I got to escape the bosses for a few hours and talk to each other. Like real, grown-up conversation that we didn’t have to break up in 54 chunks because we got to finish telling a story from start to finish.
We went and had brunch at Pinstripes and then walked off our waffles. We walked down to Navy Pier and sat in the sunshine until it was time to return to our children.
It was simple. But perfect. Exactly what we needed.
We also took advantage of the weather on Sunday and Monday and had park days.
Ishu is the happiest version of himself when he is outside. I mean, we all are. So it was nice to get some family time outdoors.
Ishu helped out some volunteers who were clearing out dead leaves, in preparation for the spring bloom.
He also managed to get some golf lessons from a sweet man who willingly handed over his club. Which almost resulted him being thwacked in the knee on accident. Whoops.
The other good thing about the weather changing is that everyone is just so dang NICE.
Anyway, this is about as much as I can share today because the baby has now pooped. He decided I had had too much time to myself. So off I go.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
