Morning!
This past weekend flew by and, while I normally get sad about that kinda stuff, we’re one week closer to being reunited with our fam for spring break. SO I’M EXCITED.
Quick little recap before I gotta go get this kiddo ready for school!
On Saturday, one of Ankur’s co-residents had everyone over for lunch. Fortunately for us, they live in our building so we didn’t have too far to trek. They have an almost-8 month old baby girl and it was our first time meeting her. Ishu was really excited about meeting her too. (Along with playing with all her fun toys).
Later in the evening, the three of us drove over to the Lakeview area to pick up some things from FB marketplace. And, before heading home, took a little detour to Jeni’s.
I’ve been LOVING this new-to-me flavor, Rainbow Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt. It’s a blend of key lime, passionfruit, and raspberry. AND IT’S SO YUMMY. Ishu, too, loved his rainbow ice cream – topped with sprinkles – in a cone.
On Sunday, we went to Egg Harbor Cafe for brunch. One of Ishu’s teachers works there on the weekends and happened to be our server. Ishu was so excited when he first saw her. A bit confused. And then spent the entire meal searching her out in the restaurant, asking me why she couldn’t sit down at our table.
We love her so much.
After brunch, we made our way over to the park where we participated in a fun neighborhood Easter egg hunt. And then all the kiddos and their parents – on an egg hunt high – stayed after to hang out at the playground. It felt SO NICE. For most of the early afternoon, the sun was out and the playground was packed and we were getting all the spring and summer vibes.
I’m so ready for the playgrounds to be busy and full!
And that’s it! Breakfast time for this fam and then going to get this kiddo ready for school. IT’S A SUNSHINE DAY OVER HERE.
Happy Monday! Have a good one 🙂
