Good morning and happy Monday!
Temperatures are warming up over here and I am SQUEALING with excitement.
It feels like the worst might be over. (But, also, did I just jinx it?!)
I don’t know. I think the worst is over.
BUT whatever. I’m enjoying THIS week. Temperatures are in the 30s and 40s! THAT’S AMAZING.
I thought we’d be out and about all weekend long. But Ishu had other plans for us.
On Saturday, he woke up and, for the first few hours of the day, complained of a belly ache.
He ended up throwing up a few times. He’s become a little expert and aims directly into the toilet. We’ve come a long way from the days he threw up all over me and the carpet.
We ended up staying home and taking it easy the rest of the day. He ended up falling asleep around 1:30ish and took a good nap. And then woke up feeling brand new and willing to eat a little more. His full appetite came back at 10:30 when we were in bed trying to get him to go back to sleep and his little voice from under the covers said, “I want jamma bread.” So, OBVIOUSLY, we “re-opened” the kitchen for the little guy and gave him a nice meal of jam and toast and avocado.
He sure was hungry.
And then on Sunday, he was completely back to normal. (We think this potty training business can sometimes make him constipated because he holds his poop ’til he can request a diaper at home).
On Sunday, we went to the aquarium.
We watched the Octopus 4D movie, saw the dolphin show, and hung out with the sharks for a bit. He just loves seeing all the different fish so much. He was a happy little guy. (And we were all a little happy to be out of the apartment too!).
Aside from that, Ankur and I got super into the series, “Dead to Me” on Netflix and binge watched a few episodes during nap times. And I finished this book and made a sizable dent in this book.
I also made some chicken soup last night that turned out REAL GOOD. Ishu also helped make it. Which is why he was down to eat it. I always want to hurry up and have dinner mostly prepped BEFORE he comes home so I can BE with him when he’s home. But, maybe I need to do more of this. Because he enjoys it and he also is way more likely to eat it.
And that’s it.
It was a good weekend and very thankful that this little guy is completely back to normal (for now). 🙂
Hope you had a great weekend and have a good week!
